i was sitting in the car bored today in a retail pa= rk in basildon, and was listening to a few old= tapes that i'd found and wasn't sure what was on = them. i found a few amusing renditions of various thing= s, including a grand piano, classical, & drawn out version of postman = pat, which i'd done in the old days on my old ke= yboard :)

a little later i got bored, and switched over to the radio only = to find perhaps the funniest piece of music radio i have ever heard in my life. it was an xfm show called 'the remix', wh= ich is going to be a definate listen for me from n= ow on. as i am writing i am finding more, and more cool things about this show on the website ''= Eddy Temple-Morris and James Hyman co-present The Remix – “…where rock meets dance” - every Sunday afternoon, play= ing Xfm artists as you’ve never quite heard them before along with The Super= chunk, a 30-minute special guest set ''. yes pe= ople. the same Eddy Temple-Morris who presented you with= the, indeed genius, 'Stroke of Genius'. faaaaantastic.

Anyway, seeing a= s the track listings aren't out yet, i luckily ma= de a few notes of the tracks i heard on the back= of a comet catalogue.

- some other 80's classics followed (one = that stood out was also included in the avalanches '97 = breezeblcok mix... #..i cant= go for that...#...if you know it)

- Madonna - Dont Tell Me. (they are sure= ly taking the piss by now :) absolutely enthralling listening though.lol @ the rapping over the top. very cúl contrast #...nigg= as in the east coast..# etc etc :)

- Busta Rhymes - Knight Rider Theme Thing - Inspector Gadget vs some whicked rapping ( FUCKING AWESOME duuuude. i nearly crashed the car trying not to laugh out = loud. brilliance.) i gets better...
- Muppet Show Theme Tune vs hard core 'nigga' rapping ( once again i really did find this absolutely hilarious. but very very good nonetheless)

fucking hell t= hat is excellence mky. my sentiments exactly. i find it hard to express the state of madness that = i am experiencing at the moment. the only way = i can deal with it is escaps= im to the land of the_dr - where music is loud= and fun is to be had by all.

ive had very very bad = back pain all day. not nice. not nice at all.

in hmv= today i had my headphones on listening to <= span class=3DSpellE>aphex twin (selected ambient works II) while in t= he background i could hear dj otzi - doo waa diddy. lovely. what was even more lovely is the security gu= ards looking over your shoulder every 5 minutes, pretending to look at some = cds while they are secretly watching you. saw one person buying aphex - bald & middle aged. oh well, each to the= ir own :)

65daysofstati= c are cool from what ive heard of theirs (static 65), so is the new squarepusher track. ohmygod that is fantastic. sums up the state of my mind as eliqantly as bot= h the avalanches mix and mky's speech did.

60 minutes summed up the exact contents of my grey matter for the past 4 weeks. 60 minutes of the most talented mixology. 60 minutes of the avalanches set on monday's breezeblock. tracklisting to come - but if you have audiogalaxy join = this group and ask for the new avalanches set. fantastic. it even used= some aphex twin and the missy ell= iot/dr dre/george michael/get ur= faith on combo that appe= ared in my get ur mix on mp3. cant stop listening to it.

got an email today from my teacher's son who is in a cool band called 65daysofstatic. he'd heard the freelance hellraiser tune from my site and thought that both it and the website were cool. t= hey were chosen for in the city the other month and th= eyve had some label interest so they are officially good :) check out the website, the links page and the mp3s -= all very very very = cool. (plus he thinks this site is 'dead good' so maybe <= span class=3DSpellE>im being a bit biased). im downloading some of their tracks now so = i'll give my verdict later.
